And why not?
Nov. 4th, 2005 08:08 pmSo there are many reasons why I whinge about work, but don't quit. When work is good, it's ohmygod like the best thing ever. When it's bad it sucks a serious amount of arse.
However. I truly enjoy working with the people I work with. I get paid more than I probably should for something that I find easy. No, as that shampoo ad says 'Because I'm worth it'. I enjoy talking. Like a lot. So it means that my job is a good job to have . I get to faff with stuff, and get paid for it. We laugh a lot. And sing. And did I mention we laugh a lot?
And some days people surprise you.
Fearless Leader TM thanked me, says he appreciates me, says I am wonderful, wished me a nice holiday and was generally most unlike him. See, it's things like that, that make the difference.
And really, in my opinion it's best to feel something about any part of your life passionately enough that you will whinge about it, or gush about it for days on end. It's better than being so totally indifferent to it all.
It's when that hits, when I don't care about it at all, that I will look elsewhere.
Or when I finally decide what I want to be when I grow up.
